How to Apply Garnier OLIA | Hair Color 101 | Garnier Hair Color

Learn how to get brilliant color and visibly healthier at home with Olia with this step-by-step hair color tutorial. Even if you’ve been coloring your hair for years, Olia’s formula with 60% oils is different than any color you’ve used at home. Before you get started, check the before and after photos on the box to ensure your shade will give you the desired result, and don’t forget to do a 48-hour skin allergy test. Then, follow these steps for a flawless application of your brilliant shade. This video walks you through a touch-up application. Always read and follow the instruction sheet included in the box for both full head and root touch-up applications.

Beginning with dry, unwashed hair, wrap a towel around your shoulders and put the gloves on to protect your clothes and hands from the hair color. Twist off the top of the applicator and add the colorant and developer to the mixing jar.

Put the applicator back on the mixing jar, cover the tip with your finger and shake vigorously to mix the thick, non-drip formula.

Start applying the color to your roots and massage in a circular motion to help spread the color. Leave on for 20 minutes. (Touch-Up Application)
If you’ve never colored your hair, want to change your current color to a darker shade, or haven’t colored in 3 months or longer, then immediately apply the color from your roots to your tips. Let the color process for 30 minutes then skip to Step 6.

4. APPLY THROUGH ENDS (Touch-Up Application)
Apply the rest of the color through the lengths and ends of your hair.

5. WAIT MORE 10 MINUTES (Touch-Up Application)
Leave the hair color on for 10 more minutes.

Rinse your hair until the water runs clear. Apply the after color conditioner, leave on for 2 minutes then rinse thoroughly. Towel-dry and style your hair.

I love this product, however, I'm having a hard time finding the color that I have used in the past. It's 6.3 & 1/2 "lightest golden brown". Has this been discontinued??
