Asian representative here, lol. I'm a huge movie lover and student of culture. I know that I would see a movie that featured an all Asian cast, admittedly partly because I am Asian BUT the overarching and more importantly reason is that a major Hollywood film is going to tell the Asian perspective which I think is quite lacking in the theatres. I mean our world is so vast and films get an opportunity to showcase our humanity and get people from other cultures LIVE OUR TRUTH for 90 mins. It's a beautiful thing really. In regards to getting people to see it and casting notable. bankable stars– maybe that'll work–though from that logic EVERY Johnny Depp film and EVERY Brad Pitt movie would crush it. That is not case, so I think audiences would prefer an original, compelling movie rather than recycled, safe choices. Now is the time for greater diversity and inclusion. Films have power, and therefore responsibility.

if Disney wants a guardians of the galaxy ride they need to put it in tomorrowland. it would fit better and give tomorrowland something interesting and could become a centerpiece for the area

I did read the book and it was entertaining as mindless fluff – but  I hope the movie doesn't become something like Shahs of Sunset where you see a parade of shallow, spoiled caricatures .. but on second thought if they aren't going to do a thoughtful, insightful movie (which I doubt they will since the book wasn't particularly thoughtful or insightful), then they may as well go for exaggerated laughs and situations – like Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous on steroids…

Tower of Terror is one of Disney's best attractions ever. They shouldn't touch it.

    Guardians should be in TomorrowLand

Penny Dreadful and Universal's Monster's Universe won't really clash. Show's like Penny Dreadful don't really last beyond 5 seasons so it should be over before the Monster Universe really establishes itself.

To tell my secret I don't like US comedies the humor is much sexist and dirty, I like clear cut humor that doesn;t force the laugh out of you or make you feel uncomfortable if it crosses a line. Plus because Greeks don't have the background I don't understand African American humor and I don;t like watching neither those movies nor the all Afr-Am TV shows. It is also a proof that those shows and movie have failed miserably in the Greek market (eg. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air the only all Afr. Am comedy ever shown on Greek TV)

Man, I love The Twilight Zone TOT. This sounds like a terrible, terrible idea. It they want to make a GotG ride, do it. But a new ride; don't change the Tower of Terror.

What else are Asian Americans and other people of color, suppose to do but create their own thing. Marvel Studios came out and said through that screen writer that their calculation was basically fuck Asian Americans cause the foreign Asian box office bring in more money. All the other studios saying basically the same thing with every whitewashed movie they make.

The plot of that book sounds like the usual stuff from Korean dramas. If someone wants to see that kind of thing, go watch one of those, there are plenty to choose from.

I can think of a few more: Maggie Smith, Julie Walters, Judie Dench, Glenn Close, Anne Archer, Viola Davis, Alfre Woodward

But overall, yeah, it's not a very fair landscape.

    Question Grace, 🤗🙂😋🤓😎
Could Tom Cruise = Alan Quartermaine???
It would give him the freedom to move across the Monsters Cinematic Universe movies and not just be stuck with the Mummy ala Brendan Frasier. If Johnny Depp and Russell Crowe level actors are being secured for the other monster movie lead roles perhaps the studio has offered to turn TC into their RDJ?

I'm a white man turning 20, and not only do I think this movie has the potential do do very well outside of the Asian community, I also think it will set up future Asian films in a great way. I for one will be going to see it, at least off of the description you gave, and I even want to read the book now. Maybe there is an Asian Blake Lively in out future? I would just love that. I'm hoping for the best with this project. As always, this was a great video! Love you Grace! Keep up this tremendous work! ❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I just watched "Hello, My Name is Doris" and was so pleased to see an older actress (Sally Field) playing a WOMAN. By this I mean, they never really mentioned her age, they treated her like a person rather than an OLD person specifically. They dealt with important themes, such as love, addiction and friendship but they didn't make a big deal of her age. It was smart, funny and charming and part of me wonders why there aren't more roles for older women like this!?

I don't understand why Disney doesn't just build a Marvel land in their California Park? I mean they're doing one for Star Wars! They shouldn't tear down their classic rides that everyone loves, just so they can create a new ride quicker. And if they don't have enough space to do a whole Marvel theme land they should split the Star Wars land in half. Half Marvel/Half Star Wars

Speaking of ageism there a number of roles meant for older actors/actresses, but somehow Hollywood cast younger person. Prime example, Emma Stone was now cast to play Cruella Deville. Unfortunately, the roles meant for them are still not being given to them and I don't see that changing unless people speak up about it.

I can accept Disney turning Maelstrom into a Frozen ride, b/c the ride was never all that popular and the film takes place in Norway. However, I cannot accept The Tower of Terror being turned into a Guardians of the Galaxy ride. The Tower of Terror is a beloved attraction both in Disneyland and Disneyworld. It's one of the rides I hear people talk about most when they talk about a Disney Park. It's one of the rides I look forward to the most. As for the younger generation not knowing about The Twilight Zone, that hasn't stopped kids from riding the ride and loving it. Heck, I think even more people haven't seen or heard of Song of the South and Splash Mountain is one of Disney's most popular rides! (I've never seen the movie and I love the ride!) Point is, don't fix what isn't broken!!!
