Oscar Homolka (1898-1978) is probably best known for playing Russian generals in spy movies. In Sabotage (1936) dir. Alfred Hitchcock, he plays a professional terrorist. Sylvia Sidney also stars. This is in my opinion the most expressionistic movie of Hitchcock. Close-ups of Homolka’s face feature large, his character is at once scary and scared.
The ending of this contribution gives hints as to the ending of Homolka’s character.
