EXCLUSIVE: USS FITZGERALD ‘SUDDENLY’ STEAMED ON COLLISION COURSE DESPITE WARNING From CONTAINER SHIP

✔In the first detailed account from one of those directly involved, the cargo ship’s captain said the ACX Crystal had signalled with flashing lights after the Fitzgerald “suddenly” steamed on to a course to cross its path!

✔A U.S. warship struck by a container vessel in Japanese waters failed to respond to warning signals or take evasive action before a collision that killed seven of its crew, according to a report of the incident by the Philippine cargo ship’s captain.

✔The container ship steered hard to starboard (right) to avoid the warship, but hit the Fitzgerald 10 minutes later at 1:30 a.m., according to a copy of Captain Ronald Advincula’s report to Japanese ship owner Dainichi Investment Corporation that was seen by Reuters.

And you are selling fake news "Reuters was not able to independently verify the account" James Munder what a joke.

This whole deal stinks. Does not make any sense other than the navy ship was asleep. Lookouts? AEGIS? Ship Radar? AIS? Radio? HORN? LIGHTS? WTF?

I just heard on CNN. They have the black box of the cargo ship. What happened was, as the warship and the cargo ship got closer, the captain of the warship radioed the cargo ship to change course or they would collide.

The cargo ship radioed back for the USA ship to change course. the warship captain said I asked first. The cargo ship said I am 4 times as big—you move.

The warship captain said I have 94 cruise missiles, 68 Tomahawk missiles, 24 ballistic missiles, and 34 torpedoes. And more nuclear weapons. I could shoot you out of the water, now you move.

Finally, the captain of the warship asked Washington for permission to shoot, but the president was busy playing golf and didn't want to be disturbed.

It has been reported in the media that the destroyer's captain has a degree in history from a college + a few US Navy courses.Would it be unreasonable to guess that some of the other officers onboard our destroyer are not better qualified?

  5. Graham Dawes says:

If the US destroyer was rammed purposely or disabled by a container ship then God help them if they are that useless. as for EMP attack then that must be the weakest excuse ever to account for a multi million dollar ship of the latest weapons and sensors being hit. I could probably sink it with a rowing boat.. Total incompetence by somebody and probably the US captain.

  6. minormajor1 says:

The yank ship is highly manoeuvrable and very responsive. The Jap- Philpott ship is a whale.
The yanks must have been asleep for this to happen. Even if the container ship had tried to ram the Fitzgerald, the Fitzgerald could easily have evaded the container ship.
This is a reflection of professional sloppiness in the US services.
Arrogance and believing your own lies.
    God help us all.

  7. pen mightygun says:

the navy ship was doing a practice attack , thats why it happened.

  8. DeLaCruzer11 says:

The Navy has a reputation to protect. The Merchant ship has a business to protect. The Officers and the crews on both ship has a career to protect. Everybody will be jockeying on who will look the lesser at fault.

  9. thrunsalmighty says:

This does not fit with the erratic path of the container ship before – and certainly not after – the first encounter. The time discrepancy, and the secrecy of the container ship's owner are also still very suspicious.

  10. NebukedNezzer says:

I was on DD784 during vietnam. I agree its ALL the fault of the destroyer captain. He will need to be held accountable(unless the brass can cover it up like they often do).

  11. Jim Beck says:

Why wasn't this ship blown out of the water, disabled long before it got beyond point of no return. After the Cole I thought NOTHING was to get near one of our vessels. I hope we get the facts soon. Do we ever learn?

  12. bill hanna says:

This is what iv been saying the navy ship f….d up ,port to port – basic rule of the sea, great advert for the USA s navy , sleeping on the job.

  13. Tony Browne says:

If US navy can post clips about the superior speed and agility of their ships what was different about this ship? Was Humpty Dumpty really at the helm or was it Humphrey B Bear as I have suspected all along?

  14. Tony Browne says:

We are mercan navy, we have right of way anywhere we are on this earth. We give way to no one.

  15. Frank Geeraerts says:

Sacrificing the ship just like sacrificing the twin towers , Pearl Harbor , Gulf of Tonkin and other " false flag incidents" ……remember thousands of own citizen sacrifised without remorse or empathy !

    Who's benefitting from it …..?

What's next ? Something bigger than 9/11 ? Sacrifising a US city throwing a nuke on your own people and have the excuse for WWIII ?

  16. Larry Norsworthy says:

Is this the results of affirmative action again?

  17. Oljunka Puvelkrag says:

The US are good at this. The HMAS Sydney ran over a US destroyer some years back. The US destroyer was criss crossing in front of the Sydney making fun of the ancient aircraft carrier. That is until the Sydney collided with the idiots and the destroyer was cut in half. They weren't laughing then.

  18. Dan Ridlen says:

Fox News reported that the Fitzgerald "rammed" the container ship. Pictures show the Fitzgerald was T-boned on the starboard side with no scrape marks anywhere. Just a dead on hit like the Fitzgerald was dead in the water when hit. With this kind of information being put out it is safe to assume that you cannot believe anything until it's all been investigated.

  19. Julian Heim says:

Very simple. freighter swerves to stbd when warships suddenly moves in front of her but is unable to avoid collision. freighter carries on but makes a uturn when able to assist if needed. crew on warship not the leading edge of the sword as previously thought. black box on freighter will reveal all

how many women were on the bridge?
Vitamin "P" is a huge distraction to young sailors….natural instincts are something that even over-ride direct orders from the commander!
