    but yet almost every movie being made to this day is following James Cameron's lead with the 3D. But even if it is like Pocahantas, it's still not a valid excuse, seeing that Inception was like the matrix but That ended up winning awards anyways.

    I truly wanted District 9 to win. It should have won. There is no justice in the world…

    If Americans are warmongers, then Avatar is anti-american! I loved it, because it stood against western imperialism and THATS WHY it is the highest grossing film ever. Fuck the oscars they are just a studio-tool to sell dvds. Talking realistic films are you, then Milk should have won. Not hurtlocker, a stupid redneck take on the much overdone hero's journey.

    FUCK THE OSCARS, ITS JUST A CUNNING MOVIE-STUDIO TOOL TO GET PEOPLE IN THE THEATRES AND SELL DVDs. AVATAR WAS AN AWSOME MOVIE!!! KICKED ALL THE SKY DADDY LOVING NATURE HATERS RIGHT IN THE FACE!

  14. Tyler Dunaway says:

    @bolognamof no one really knew The Hurt Locker before it got all the nominations, and really Id say Avatar is the most overrated film of the decade

  15. Tyler Dunaway says:

    @codyandothersbeta if i remember The Hurt Locker did not have a huge budget, and besides if its the most financially successful then myabe they should have cut it a break. I mean you say Avatar and everyone knows exactly what your talking about and now that The Hurt locker won all the awards it won its getting noticed to the general movie going public

  16. Daniel Begazo says:

    The Hurt Locker is a good movie but not as amazing as Avatar…I can only see The Hurt Locker like 2-3 times before it gets boring and unwatchable…I can watch Avatar 30 times and not get bored…..and I love War Movies….and Avatar isn't a war movie…It's that amazing…

  17. Steve Moros says:

    Oscars lost respect with Hurt locker just lol…. That's like choosing Kangaroo jack over Saving Private Ryan in best picture, seriously the oscars suck..

  18. Northern Lights #5 says:

    @AnimalRare popularity does not mean quality, avatar is like lil wayne and justin beiber so overrated, dark knight was much more epic, but sadly your comment is right as much as I find avatar fucking retarded

  19. Henrik Klevstuen says:

    @bolognamof totally agree

    The oscars are a joke! They always pick the wrong movie. The Hurt Locker is probably the most overrated film of the decade. Avatar should not have won though, the film has amazing visuals but an all too familiar and cliche plot (basically Dances with Wolves in space!). The movie that should have won is District 9! It had the most intriguing and thought provoking plot of all the nominees and is probably one of the best sci-fi movies of all time. It is an outrage that District 9 is so underrated!
